Alright, folks, gather ’round! Today, I wanna share my little adventure with the Duke football’s Devils Deck. It’s something new they’re trying out for the 2024 season at Wallace Wade Stadium, and I got to experience it firsthand during the Labor Day weekend.
First off, I headed over to the stadium, excited to see what this whole Devils Deck thing was all about. They placed it on the end zone side, and let me tell you, it’s huge! It’s a tiered deck that can hold over 1,500 people. That’s a lot of Duke fans in one place!
So, I got myself a spot and started looking around. This isn’t just your regular seating area. They’ve got yard games and stuff to keep you entertained if the game gets a little slow. Plus, it’s all-inclusive, which is a nice touch. You don’t have to worry about missing out on the action while you grab some snacks or drinks, it’s all right there.
As I settled in, I noticed the view was pretty awesome. You’re up high, so you get a good look at the whole field. It’s a different way to watch the game, that’s for sure. It felt more like a big party than just sitting in your assigned seat. Everyone was chatting, playing games, and just having a good time.
The game kicked off, and I gotta say, watching from the Devils Deck was a blast. You’re right there in the middle of all the energy, but with a bit more room to move around. It’s perfect for groups or even if you’re just there by yourself and want to meet some fellow Duke fans.
I stuck around for the whole game, and even after it ended, people were still hanging out, enjoying the atmosphere. It was a great way to spend a Friday night, and I can see why they’re doing this. It really adds something special to the whole game day experience.
In a nutshell, I had a great time checking out the Devils Deck. I enjoyed the game from a new perspective, met some cool people, and experienced something new at the stadium. I’d definitely recommend giving it a try if you get the chance.
