Well, well, well, looky here, talkin’ ’bout that Louisville Duke basketball score again. That game, what a game it was! My old eyes ain’t what they used to be, but I saw enough to know it was a real nail-biter.
That Duke team, they’re somethin’ else. They got them young fellas runnin’ up and down that court like a bunch of jackrabbits. And Louisville, bless their hearts, they just kept right on fightin’. It was Duke vs Louisville, those fellas in blue and that other team with that red bird. Lord, they sure did put on a show.
I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout this fella named, uh, Tyrese somethin’. Said he scored a whole heap of points, 24 I believe. Must be one of them star players. He sure did help them Duke boys win. Then there’s another one, Mark somethin’, back from bein’ hurt. He got 20 points. Good for him! Duke Blue Devils, that’s what they call ’em. They sure are some devils on that court, I tell ya!
- That Tyrese Proctor, 24 points!
- Mark Mitchell, back and scored 20!
- Duke won, 83 to 69!
Now, this other fella, Cooper Flagg, they say he got 20 points too but then he fouled out. You know what that means? It means he got too rough, and they made him sit down. This happened at the end of the game. I reckon it’s a good lesson for young’uns. You gotta play fair, even if you’re good.
They was playin’ in that big ol’ place, the KFC Yum! Center, I think they call it. Sounds like a place to get some fried chicken if you ask me. Big place for a big game, I suppose. They play in a place called Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham, they say it is a good place. But that KFC Yum! Center, that’s where the game was, and that’s where Duke got the win. They say Duke has been the Atlantic Coast Conference Champions for 22 times! And 19 regular season titles. Golly, they must be good!
This whole Louisville basketball thing, it’s a big deal around here. Everyone’s always talkin’ ’bout it. ‘Specially when they play them Duke boys. It’s like the whole town shuts down to watch. And this time, Duke, they got the best of ’em. I remember that Amir Primo Spears helped UTSA beat North Dakota. That is a whole other story, another game. They say Duke beat Louisville 76-65, but another time they say it was 83-69! I don’t know what the real score was but Duke won both times for sure.
This new coach for Louisville, Pat Kelsey, it was his first big game against them Duke fellas. They say it’s a big rivalry, these two teams. Like two old roosters in a henhouse, always peckin’ at each other. This time, that Duke rooster, he crowed a little louder. The other coach, for Duke, is called Jon Scheyer. I don’t know these fellas, but everyone is always talking about them.
They say it was a big win for Duke, especially in the second half. They kinda ran away with it then. Them Louisville boys, they tried, but they just couldn’t keep up. You know what they say, “Sometimes you’re the windshield, sometimes you’re the bug.” This time, Louisville, they was the bug.
I heard some folks sayin’ that Duke has an 81% chance to win. Now, I don’t know much ’bout numbers, but that sounds like a pretty good chance to me. They must be pretty good if folks are bettin’ on ’em like that.
They got all these fancy words for it, “game previews,” “real-time updates,” “box score.” Sounds like a bunch of hooey to me. All I know is, it was a good game, and Duke won. That’s all that matters in the end, ain’t it? They say you can get all the updates throughout the game. But I just wait until it is over and then I hear who won. Duke and Louisville Cardinals, they always play a good game.
Well, I reckon that’s all I got to say ’bout that Louisville Duke basketball score. It was a good game, a real barn burner, as they say. And in the end, them Duke Blue Devils, they came out on top. That’s just the way the cookie crumbles sometimes. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I think I smell some cornbread bakin’.
