Listen, this Natasha McCloud, she’s somethin’ else in that WNBA, ain’t she? I heard she done moved to a new team. Yeah, that Phoenix Mercury. Heard she signed up with ’em. Some folks say it’s a two-year deal, and they payin’ her a whole heap of money. $400,000, I heard! Lord have mercy, that’s a lot of dough! She must be good to be gettin’ all that.
I seen her playin’ on the TV. She can dribble that ball like nobody’s business. And shoot! She can throw that orange thing right in the basket from way out yonder. She was with that Washington Mystics team before, but now she’s a Phoenix Mercury gal. That’s what they sayin’ anyway. I don’t know all the details, but she moved, that’s for sure.
They talkin’ ’bout her all over, sayin’ she’s good on defense, too. Got some kinda award for it. “All-Defensive,” they call it. She got picked for that fancy team. Second team, I reckon. Still, that’s mighty impressive. Means she’s good at stoppin’ the other gals from scorin’. Like a wall, I suppose.

This Natasha McCloud, she’s a big deal. Heard she got in a bit of trouble, though. Got a “technical foul,” whatever that is. Sounds like somethin’ you’d get for messin’ up a car engine. But they say she got seven of ’em. And now she can’t play for one game. Sittin’ it out, they say. They don’t pay ya for that, neither. She should watch herself, gettin’ all them fouls.
Folks say she’s a good gal, though. Helps out in the community. That’s important, you know. Don’t matter how good you are at throwin’ a ball, you gotta be good to people, too. And they say this Natasha, she is. She was a real favorite in Washington. Now she’s gonna be a favorite in Phoenix, I reckon.

That Phoenix team, they seem like they really wanted her. Said they was gonna get better, and they needed her to do it. That’s what I heard, anyway. Seems like she made a good choice, goin’ to Phoenix. They appreciate her there.
Now, I ain’t no expert on this WNBA stuff. I just see what I see on the TV and hear what folks are sayin’. But this Natasha McCloud, she seems like a good one. Good player, good person. That’s all that matters, right? And she’s makin’ a good livin’ for herself. Can’t fault her for that.
She went from the Washington Mystics, to the Phoenix Mercury. Big change, I bet. But she’s tough, I can tell. She can handle it. She’s gonna do just fine in Phoenix. They’re lucky to have her. That’s what I think, anyway.
She’s fast, she is quick, and she sure can run. And she is good at jumpin’. Lord, that girl can jump high. I seen her jumpin’ clear over the other girl. She’s like a rabbit. Jumpin’ and runnin’, and dribblin’ that ball. She is a sight to see, that is for sure. I like to watch her play.

That WNBA, it’s somethin’ else. All them women, runnin’ and jumpin’. It’s a lot different than when I was a girl. We didn’t have nothin’ like that. But it’s good, I reckon. Gives these girls somethin’ to do. And they good at it, too. Especially that Natasha McCloud. She’s one of the best, they say.
Well, I reckon that’s all I know ’bout this Natasha gal. She’s a Phoenix Mercury player now, makin’ lots of money, and good at playin’ that basketball. And she seems like a good person, too. That’s all that matters, right? Hope she does good. Hope that Phoenix team does good, too. They got a good one in that Natasha. That’s for sure. Yes, sir, they sure do.
