Alright, listen up, y’all. We’re gonna talk about this Clemson football team, the one from 2020. You know, the bunch of young fellas who run around on that there field.
The 2020 Clemson Tigers Football Team
So, this here team, they call ’em the Clemson Tigers. Big strong boys, they are. Played in that 2020 season, NCAA Division I, they say. That fella, Dabo Swinney, he was the head coach. Good ol’ boy, I reckon.
Now, they had a whole bunch of players. A big ol’ roster, like a list as long as my arm. They had this website, *, where they put all the names. But I ain’t too good with them computer things, so I’ll just tell you what I remember.
- They had a fella named Ajou Ajou. Big boy, played wide receiver. 6-3, they said, and 215 pounds. Freshman, he was. From Brooks, wherever that is.
- Then there was that running back, Phil Mafah. He was the starter, they say. Means he got to run with the ball the most, I guess.
- And that fella, Ryan Linthicum. He was the center. You know, the one who snaps the ball. Coach Swinney, he said Ryan won the starting job. Good for him, I say.
They had all sorts of positions, see. Wide receivers, running backs, linemen… Too many to remember, if you ask me. But they all wore them orange and purple colors. Looked like a bunch of ripe eggplants running around, if you ask me. But they were good boys, played hard.
The Roster and the Draft
Now, this roster thing, it’s important, I hear. It’s how they keep track of all the players. Every year, they get new ones, and some old ones leave. It’s like a revolving door, you know? In and out, in and out. And that NFL, the professional fellas, they come and pick some of these boys to play for them. They call it the draft. Clemson, they got a lot of boys drafted over the years. Since 1936, they say, 277 players! That’s a whole lotta boys, ain’t it?
This 2020 team, they played in the regular season, and then in them playoffs. Big games, I reckon. Lots of yelling and cheering. Don’t know how they hear themselves think with all that noise.
Clemson Football – A Big Deal
Clemson football, it’s a big deal around here. People get all riled up about it. They paint their faces, wear them funny hats, and holler like banshees. Me? I just like to sit and watch. Sometimes I knit while I’m watching. Keeps my hands busy, you know?
So, that’s about all I know about this 2020 Clemson football team. A bunch of young fellas running around, playing a game. Some folks get real worked up about it. Me? I just hope they don’t get hurt and they get a good education. That’s what matters, ain’t it?
More Than Just Football
And you know, these boys, they ain’t just football players. They’re students too. Gotta go to class, study them books. It ain’t easy, I tell ya. Juggling football and schoolwork, that’s a tough job. But they do it, most of ‘em. And that’s something to be proud of.
So, next time you see them Clemson Tigers on TV, or maybe you even go to a game, remember they’re more than just athletes. They’re young men trying to make something of themselves. And that’s a good thing, no matter how you slice it.
