I saw it on this website, I think it said the match starts at 4:00 PM, and it’s part of the Long Island Soccer Football League Premier. Sounds pretty serious, huh?
Next, I wanted to know more about the team. I found their official page, which was a goldmine of information. Team news, fixtures, match highlights… you name it. They even had this live score thing for their game against Hellas New York FC on September 23rd. That one starts at midnight. Might have to set an alarm for that!

I kept digging, just browsing through what I could find on the internet. There’s not a ton, but there’s enough to get me hooked. I saw some chatter online about them being a serious obstacle for other teams. Like, “Standing in their way are the New York Renegades.” That’s some intense stuff, right? Makes me even more excited to see them play.
Then, I stumbled upon the website for this other team, Philadelphia Lone Star FC. Not sure how they’re related, but it was cool to see another team’s page and compare. They had all the same stuff – latest news, match info, highlights, and even a club store.

Of course, no team is complete without a social media presence. I found the Renegades on Instagram. Their handle is “ny_renegades_fc”. They posted something on June 6th about an upcoming game, saying “it’s all about soccer” that weekend. Pretty standard stuff, but it’s good to see they’re active.

I also read about this one match where they qualified for the US Open Cup for the first time. They won 4-1 in a shootout after a 1-1 draw. Apparently, they scored within the first two minutes of the match! That’s how you start a game, am I right?
