Okay, so, I had to put together this roster for the AIC soccer team, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey. I started by digging through all the info I could find online about the team.
First thing I did was check out the schedule. I saw they had some tough games coming up, like against Post University and Wilmington University. Man, those are some strong opponents. I made a note of these games ’cause I knew we’d need our best players on the field for those.
- Looked at past games: I also went back and looked at how they did in some of their recent matches. I found out that our team, the Yellow Jackets, recently suffered a loss of 28-3 against Shippensburg University. Ouch, that must’ve stung. I figured the team would be hungry for a win after that.
- Figured out who was who: I spent some time getting familiar with the team’s usual starting lineup. You know, figuring out who their go-to players were. It seems like they’ve got a solid group of guys, but I was looking for any standout performers.
- Checked out the competition: Then, I moved on to look at the teams they’d be facing. I found out some interesting info. For instance, Amherst College just won the NCAA Division III National Championship! And Connecticut College won it back in 2021. These teams are no joke. I also learned that Assumption University has 24 teams in the NE-10 Conference. Endicott College has a strong team too, they were CCC champions in 2017.
Putting it all together. So, after gathering all this info, I started putting together my ideal roster. I wanted a mix of experienced players and some fresh talent. It was a bit like solving a puzzle, making sure we had all the right pieces in the right places. Finally, after a lot of thinking and rearranging, I had my roster. It wasn’t easy, but I felt good about the team I put together.
I’m really excited to see how this team does. I think they’ve got a real shot at doing some great things this season. Go Yellow Jackets!
