Okay, so I wanted to put together a decent schedule for the Philo High School football team. You know, make sure everything was lined up right for the season. First thing I did was dig around for any info I could find on their past schedules, where they usually play, and who their big rivals are. That way, I could get a general feel for how things usually go.
I started by checking out the school’s website. Sometimes they have stuff posted there, but it wasn’t super helpful this time. Didn’t find a full schedule, just bits and pieces. But it did give me the school’s location, you know, 4000 Millers Ln, Duncan Falls, so that was something.
Then I went browsing all over the internet, looking at sports news sites, hoping to find some articles or announcements about Philo’s football schedule. There are a few sites that track high school sports, but they were a bit of a mixed bag. One site mentioned a game against Crooksville Ceramics, which sounded like a big one, so I made a note of that. Another site, I think it was called On3 or something, had scores and schedules, but not a complete one for Philo. It’s like everyone had a piece of the puzzle, but no one had the whole picture.
I also checked for any live stream info or upcoming events listed specifically for Philo High School in Duncan Falls. That was kind of a dead end, too. Nothing scheduled. Man, this was turning out to be tougher than I thought! But I figured their coach, some guy named Dirk Lincicome, must have it all figured out. They’re in Division IV, apparently, and had a 5-6 record last season, so they’re probably aiming to do better this year.
After hitting all those websites, I started putting together my own spreadsheet. I listed out the usual opponents based on what I could find, made some educated guesses about dates and times, and tried to account for home and away games. It wasn’t perfect, but it was a start. I even used different colors to mark rivalry games and made sure to double-check everything against what little info the school had on their site, like the “Go Electrics!” thing and the location.
Finally, after all that digging and organizing, I ended up with a pretty decent-looking schedule. It wasn’t official or anything, but it gave me a good idea of what to expect for the season. I mean, I felt like a real detective piecing it all together. It’s not perfect, but I feel pretty good about my Philo High School football schedule.
