Okay, so today, I’m gonna talk about something that I got stuck on recently, a crossword puzzle. Yeah, you heard that right, a crossword. It’s the one from The New York Times, and the clue was “Magazine With A Skater Of The Year Award”. Sounds simple enough, right? Nope.
I started like I always do, just thinking about it casually. What magazines do I know that cover skateboarding? None came to mind immediately. So, I went to the internet, searched for “magazine skater of the year award NYT crossword”, and that’s where the fun started.
- First step, I typed “magazine with a skater of the year award” into the search bar. A bunch of results popped up, but nothing that screamed “this is it!”
- Then, I refined my search, adding “NYT crossword” to the query. This narrowed it down a bit, but I still had to sift through some forum posts and crossword solver sites.
- After that, I started clicking on links that looked promising. Most of them were just lists of possible answers, but they were all pretty short. It got a bit frustrating, to be honest.
- Next, I went back to the search results and looked for anything related to June 29th or June 30th, 2024, since some of the results mentioned those dates. Seemed like this clue had shown up around then.
- Finally, I stumbled upon a site that had the answer. It was a pretty straightforward crossword help site. And the answer was right there, plain as day.
The solution was a four-letter word starting with “T”. After checking out a few different sites, I felt pretty sure about the answer. And guess what? I filled it in, and it fit perfectly! All those other clues around it started making sense too.
It felt good to finally crack it. These crosswords can be a real pain sometimes, but it’s always satisfying when you get that one clue that’s been bugging you. Just wanted to share my little victory.
