Okay, so, I needed to get the lowdown on seating for the Utah Utes football games. I’m planning to catch a game or two this season, and I really wanted to make sure I got some decent seats. Not too high up, you know? And definitely not stuck behind a pole or something.
First thing I did was hit up the internet to see what I could find about the seating chart for Rice-Eccles Stadium. That’s where the Utes play, right? So, I started my search, just typing in “Utah football seating chart” and seeing what came up.
I found a few different websites that had seating maps and stuff. Some were simple, just showing the sections and rows, which was okay. But then I stumbled upon this one site that had a 3D seating map. That was pretty cool. You could actually click around and see the view from different seats. It was like a virtual tour of the stadium.
- Clicked around the 3D map, checking out different sections.
- Noticed the student section is wild, but maybe not my scene anymore.
- Compared prices for a few different games.
So, I played around with that for a while, zooming in and out, checking out the views from different sections. It really helped me get a feel for the stadium layout. It seemed like the seats on the east side get the afternoon sun, which could be brutal in the early season games, so that was a good thing to keep in mind. I’ve been to games where I was getting roasted all afternoon. No thanks. Been there, done that.
After messing around with the 3D map, I started looking at ticket prices. I compared a few different games and different sections to see what the going rate was. I noticed that for some of the bigger games, the prices were way higher. Makes sense, I guess.
Figuring Out My Game Plan
I decided to target a mid-season game, when the weather is usually pretty good and the ticket prices aren’t too crazy. Then, using the 3D map, I picked out a few sections that looked like they had a good view without being too expensive.
Finally, I found some tickets in a section that looked perfect. Good view, decent price, and hopefully not in the blazing sun. I snagged those tickets real quick. Now I’m all set for the game. Can’t wait! This whole seating chart deep dive really paid off. I feel way more prepared now, and I’m stoked to see the Utes play from my carefully chosen seats.
