Alright, so I was trying to catch the Florida Atlantic football game on the radio the other day. Figured it would be a piece of cake, right? But boy, was I in for a ride.
First, I went online and did a quick search. I found a few pages mentioning where to tune in for the game. They were all like, “Listen to Stream Florida Atlantic Owls Football here,” so I was thinking, “Cool, this should be easy.”
I also found a couple of articles talking about the game itself. Like, it was supposed to kick off at 7:30 p.m. on a Friday. Then there was this one that mentioned Ken LaVicka, who’s apparently “The Florida Atlantic Voice,” and he’s the guy you hear on the radio calling the games. That sounded promising.
But here’s where it got tricky. I found that you could listen to the games online. But I wanted to listen to it on the actual radio.
So, I started fiddling with the radio, trying to find the right station. I spent a good chunk of time just going through all these different channels, hoping to catch something that sounded like football. It was like a guessing game, and not a very fun one.
Meanwhile, I remembered reading somewhere that the game was going to be on ESPN2. So I thought, “Maybe I can find it on a sports channel on the radio?” So I started looking for sports radio stations.
After what felt like forever, I finally stumbled upon a station that was airing the game. I was so relieved! It wasn’t the clearest signal, but hey, I could hear the game.
And let me tell you, it was a nail-biter! The game went on, and I was glued to the radio the whole time. I even missed dinner, but it was totally worth it. We ended up winning, which made all that searching around even more satisfying.
In the end, I did get to listen to the Florida Atlantic football game on the radio. It wasn’t as straightforward as I thought it would be, but it all worked out. Next time, I’ll be better prepared, that is for sure!
