Man, I gotta tell you about this wild ride I went on trying to catch Connor Price live in Dallas. It all started when I saw this ad for his concert at The Factory in Deep Ellum. I’ve always been a fan of his music, especially that banger “Up!” he did with Forrest Frank, so I was hyped.
First thing I did was hit up Vivid Seats to grab some tickets. I’d heard good things about them, and the whole process was pretty smooth. Got my tickets for the March 18th show, and I was counting down the days. The venue, The Factory, is right in the heart of Deep Ellum, which is known for its sick music scene. I figured it would be the perfect spot to see Connor Price do his thing.
But then, plot twist! I stumbled upon another listing for a show at the House of Blues on April 20th. It was part of “The Price Club Tour,” and it got me thinking, maybe I should double down and catch him there too. House of Blues is a legendary venue, so I was tempted. More research time for me to do.
- Checked out SeatGeek to compare prices and see what the deal was.
- They had a buyer guarantee, which was reassuring.
- Saw a bunch of people talking about how Connor Price is blowing up in the rap scene, so I knew the shows would be packed.
While I was digging around, I got sidetracked reading about the history of the Dallas rap scene. Turns out, it’s been a thing since the early 90s. I even found this documentary with interviews from old-school cats like DJ EZ Eddie D from KNON, The D.O.C., Mad Flava, and Nemesis. It was a cool little history lesson, and it made me appreciate the whole scene even more.
Anyway, back to the concert. I decided to stick with my original plan and just go to the show at The Factory. I used Wegow to finalize my ticket purchase, and it was super easy. I was all set.
The concert night finally arrived, and let me tell you, it was electric. The Factory was buzzing, and the crowd was pumped. When Connor Price hit the stage, the energy went through the roof. He played all his hits, and the crowd was singing along to every word. It was one of those nights where you just get lost in the music and the atmosphere.
So yeah, that’s my story of catching Connor Price in Dallas. It was a bit of a journey with all the different listings and venues, but it was totally worth it. If you ever get a chance to see him live, do it. You won’t regret it.
