So, today, I just wanted to share something about my recent experience with these things called “Jim Buoy”.
First, I went online and started looking around for what exactly these “Jim Buoy” things were. I saw that they had some for camping, others were part of life rafts, or something like that, and there were even some for swimming. I even saw there are these big ones, like 10 feet long, for some sort of boating, too.
Since I needed something for open water swimming, I focused on those. I ended up finding one called “New Wave Swim Buoy”, which seems to be made by the same people who make “Jim Buoy” products. This thing is basically a floaty thing you take with you when you’re swimming out in the open water, like a lake or the ocean, I guess. Apparently, it even doubles as a drybag, so you can keep your stuff safe while you swim.
After a few more clicks, I decided to buy one of these New Wave Swim Buoys. They were having a sale, which was nice. Got it for a pretty good price, actually.
When the buoy arrived, I took it out to the lake to try it out. You just kind of clip it to your waist, and it floats behind you. It’s really bright and easy to see, which I think is great for safety. Boats and other people can see you easily, which is pretty important, I’d say.
Here’s what I really liked:
- It was easy to spot. The bright color really stands out.
- It didn’t get in my way while I was swimming. I barely noticed it was there, to be honest.
- It kept my stuff dry. I tossed my phone and keys in there, and they were totally fine.
Overall
I’m pretty happy with this New Wave Swim Buoy. If you’re someone who swims in open water a lot, I’d definitely say to check it out. It made me feel a lot safer, and it was super convenient to have a place to stash my stuff, too. It was a good buy!
