Okay, so today I wanna talk about how I got Brandon Montour’s autograph. You know, the hockey player from Ontario? Yeah, that guy.
First off, I’m a huge fan of him, so naturally, I started looking for his autograph everywhere online. I mean, I checked out a bunch of websites and stuff. But I didn’t want to buy just any fake thing.
I eventually ended up in looking for places where they sell signed hockey stuff. You know, the official things. They had a bunch of signed jerseys and photos, and all seemed legit. But I wanted to be extra sure, so I did some more digging.
I found out that some cards, like those from Upper Deck, have his autographs on them. They looked pretty cool, but I wasn’t sure if they were the real deal. I mean, anyone can print a card, right? So I compared the autograph pictures on the cards, jerseys, and photos, making sure they were the same.
Then I stumbled upon this thing called grading. Apparently, there are companies like PSA and BGS that check if the autographs are real and give them a grade. It’s like a quality check for autographs. That sounded pretty reliable, so I looked for items that were graded by them. Some are even graded by CGC. These seem to be more reliable.
After all that searching, I finally found a card from 2016 SP Authentic with Montour’s autograph, and it was graded! I was so excited, but I wanted to make sure the price was right. I checked some other websites like PWCC and saw similar cards, but the prices were all over the place.
I ended up on DeansCards, and they had the same card, but for a way better price. I mean, it was a steal! So I quickly bought it before someone else could snatch it up.
When the card finally arrived, I was so stoked. It was in perfect condition, and the autograph looked amazing. I carefully put it in a protective sleeve and placed it in my collection.
Getting Brandon Montour’s autograph was a real adventure, but it was totally worth it. Now I have a piece of hockey history that I can cherish forever. And hey, maybe one day I’ll even get to meet him in person and get him to sign it again! Now that would be a dream come true.
