Okay, so, I’ve been trying to keep up with the SMU Mustangs football team, and let me tell you, getting a good look at their depth chart has been a bit of a project. Today, I decided to really dig in and figure out who’s who on the team for the 2024-25 season.
First, I started by looking around online for any info on the Mustangs’ roster. I found some bits and pieces here and there, but nothing that really gave me the full picture. There are some mentions of the depth chart for the Pitt game, but I wanted something more comprehensive and up-to-date.
Offense
- I compiled a list of players who I think are likely to be starters or key backups on offense. This involved looking at past games, reading some news articles, and just kind of piecing it all together.
- It’s going to be interesting to see how the offensive lineup shakes out, especially with them moving to the ACC. New conference, new challenges, you know?
Defense
- Then I moved on to the defense. This was a little trickier, but I did the same thing – looked at past performance, read some reports, and tried to make some educated guesses.
- I listed out the guys I think will be starting and the ones who might be rotating in. Again, it’s all just speculation at this point, but it’s fun to try and predict.
After putting it all together, I feel like I have a decent grasp of the SMU Mustangs’ depth chart for the upcoming season. It’s not perfect, and I’m sure things will change as the season gets closer, but it’s a good starting point. I’m really excited to see how they do in the ACC – it’s a big step up for them, and I think they’re ready to show what they’ve got!
This whole process reminded me how much work goes into following a college football team. You really have to stay on top of things if you want to know what’s going on. But hey, that’s part of the fun, right? I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on the Mustangs and updating my notes as we get closer to the season.
