Okay, so, I gotta tell you about this whole “panini contenders football 2017” thing I got into. It all started when I stumbled upon some posts online. You know, people talking about collecting football cards, and Panini was a name that kept popping up.
So, I did a little digging. Turns out, Panini makes a ton of these things. I mean, they’ve got Donruss, Absolute, Chronicles, Phoenix – it’s a whole world of football cards I never even knew existed! I decided I had to check it out.
Now, people online were saying the retail packs and boxes are a bit of a rip-off. They were like, “Save your money and just buy the cards you want.” Makes sense, right? I saw some information, apparently, the “2017 Panini Contenders” set has 400 cards, and it was released on December 29th. And people were rating it around 6.3 out of 10.
- I decided to ignore the retail warnings for now. I mean, where’s the fun in just buying individual cards? It’s like skipping to the end of a movie.
- So, I went to a local store and grabbed a few packs of the 2017 Panini Contenders. I felt like a kid in a candy store, not gonna lie.
- Ripped them open right there in the parking lot. Couldn’t wait.
My First Steps into Panini Contenders
Pulled some decent cards, nothing too crazy. But it got me hooked. I started reading more about these Contenders cards. They’re apparently a “hobby heavyweight,” whatever that means. Sounds cool, though.
Then I found out you can get cards graded. Basically, it’s like getting them officially rated for quality. I saw some prices for graded 2017 Contenders cards online, and let me tell you, some of them go for a lot of money! It’s wild.
So, here I am, a newbie in this whole Panini Contenders world. I’ve got a small collection started, and I’m learning as I go. I even sent a few of my favorite cards to get graded. Fingers crossed they come back with good scores!
It’s been a fun ride so far. I’m not sure where this whole collecting thing will take me, but I’m enjoying it. Maybe I’ll get lucky and pull a super rare card someday. Who knows? But for now, I’m just having a blast opening packs and seeing what I get. And hey, at least it’s cheaper than collecting actual football players, right?
