Well, I reckon it’s like when we used to have them barn dances. They got these fellas, Bruins players, they skate real fast. And they got other teams, too. One’s called the Capitals, I think. Sounds important. Like the capital of somethin’. And another is Flames. Like fire, I reckon. They must be hot stuff on the ice. And the Penguins, that’s a funny name for a hockey team, ain’t it? Penguins, like them birds that waddle around. Can they even skate?
Who Gonna Win, Bruins or Them Others?
That’s what everyone’s tryin’ to figure out, this bruins prediction today. Who’s gonna win? Some folks say the Bruins are strong, like a good mule. Others say them other teams are sneaky, like a fox in the henhouse. Hard to say, hard to say.

My grandson, he says there’s somethin’ called moneyline. Don’t rightly understand it, but it’s like bettin’ on which rooster’s gonna win the fight, I suppose. My grandson told me about it, but I don’t understand how it works. He just gets excited about it.
This Game, It’s a Big To-Do
They got this place, TD Garden, that’s where they play. Big place, lots of seats. Folks go there, all dressed up in them Bruins colors. Black and gold, I think. They yell and scream, just like at them barn dances. They even have food there, hot dogs, and beer, just like at a fair.

My Two Cents on This Bruins Thing
Me, I don’t really care who wins. As long as they don’t get hurt, I guess. And as long as my grandson don’t yell too loud at the TV. Gives me a headache. But if the Bruins win, I will be happy for him. It’s a good thing, I guess, having a team. It’s better than those NHL odds, it’s just gambling. But who am I to say what’s good or bad?
I remember one time, back when I was a girl, we had a big game. Not hockey, mind you. It was a baseball game. Our town against the next town over. Whole town came out to watch. We won, too. It was a good day. Maybe this bruins game today will be like that. A good day for Boston, maybe. A good day for them Bruins fans.
These young folks, they get so excited about these games. They talk about the other teams, like the Oilers, the Kraken, or even the Senators. But it all comes down to the Bruins.
