My grandson, he’s a good boy. He really likes to play that basketball. He’s always outside bouncing that ball, all day long. Dribble, dribble, dribble. Sounds like a bunch of rabbits hopping around out there. He’s getting so tall now, like a bean sprout after a good rain.
He said, “I wanna play basketball just like them fellas on the TV.” He’s always watching them games, yelling and whooping. I don’t understand all the rules, but it sure does look like a lot of running around. All that jumping and throwing. Makes my old bones ache just watching him.
He’s on a team now, with other kids from the town. They got them uniforms, all matching, like little soldiers. He looks so proud in his. He asked me to buy him a new ball, said his old one is losing its bounce. I don’t know about that but he loves the new ball, he sleeps with it everyday. He really needs a basketball gift.
- He plays with his friends
- He plays by himself
- He even plays in the house sometimes!
I gotta watch him close in the house, though. Broke my favorite vase last week. He was trying to show me some fancy move, called a “dunk,” I think. Well, he dunked that ball right into my vase! Flowers and water everywhere. I scolded him good, but he looked so sad. I couldn’t stay mad at him for long. He is a good boy, just needs a basketball display stand for his balls.
He’s got a good heart, that boy. Loves his basketball more than anything, I reckon. Except maybe his grandma’s apple pie. He plays basketball all the time, that’s a good grandson basketball gifts for him.
He says basketball teaches him about teamwork. Working together with the other boys to get that ball in the hoop. I guess that’s important. Learning to get along with folks, even when things get tough. He also needs some basketball gift for grandson.
He says it teaches him about, what’s that word? “Discipline.” That’s it. Following the rules, practicing hard, even when you don’t feel like it. He needs to keep practicing so his basketball skills will be better and better.
He’s a good boy, my grandson. Works hard in school, too. Always doing his homework, reading his books. Says he wants to go to college someday. Maybe even play basketball there. I hope his dream come true. He will be the best basketball player. I told him, “You keep working hard, boy, and you can do anything you set your mind to.”
He’s got a good head on his shoulders. Not like some of these other kids, always getting into trouble. He’s respectful, too. Always says “Yes, ma’am” and “No, ma’am.” Opens the door for me. Helps me carry in the groceries. Little things like that. It’s the little things that matter most, I always say.
He’s growing up so fast. Seems like just yesterday he was a little baby, crawling around on the floor. Now he’s almost a man. Time sure does fly. Gotta cherish these moments while they last. He is a big boy now, he can play basketball outside.
I’m proud of him, my basketball-playing grandson. He’s a good boy. A good boy with a good heart. And that’s all that really matters in this life, ain’t it? Having a good heart. Being kind to folks. Working hard. Following your dreams. He’s doing all those things. He will play basketball better and better. He will never lose his passion for basketball, just like the one in Temu.
Yep, he’s a good one, that grandson of mine. And I love him more than words can say. Even if he does drive me crazy sometimes with that bouncing basketball! But I wouldn’t trade him for the world. Not for all the tea in China. No matter how old he is, he always needs a personalized basketball.
