That Draven Duncan, you know, that basketball kid. He’s a good boy, that one. Play that basketball real good, just like his daddy. His daddy, Tim, you know, was a big shot. Played for the Spurs, the San Antonio Spurs. Big team.
This boy, Draven, he’s gonna be something, I tell ya. He’s at that TMI school, TMI-Episcopal. Fancy school. They got him playing basketball there. He’s on their team, the 2023-24 team, I heard.
Tim, he’s got a lot of money. I heard it’s like, 130 million. Lots of zeroes. That’s from playing basketball. He won a bunch of those champion things. Five, I think. And some MVP things, two of them, for the league. He was a big deal back in the day.
- Five champion rings, that Tim got.
- Two MVP things.
- Fifteen times an All-Star, whatever that means.
- 130 million dollars. That’s a lot of money.
Now, this Draven, he’s following in his daddy’s footsteps. Playing that basketball, running up and down. They say he’s got a timeline. A sports timeline. Keeps track of all his games and stuff. Fancy, huh? At that Episcopal High School. He’s good in school.
Tim, he never made a big fuss. Just played that basketball. When he was done, he just walked away. No big show. Just put his finger up in the air and walked off. I saw that on TV.
Now Draven, he’s young. He’s got a long way to go. But he’s gonna make his daddy proud. You just wait and see. That Draven Duncan, he’s a good basketball player. Just needs to study, too. That school, TMI, is a good one, I hear.
Tim, he played for that one team his whole life. The Spurs. Loyal, that’s what they call it. Stuck with them through thick and thin. Draven, he needs to learn that. Be loyal. To his team, to his school, to his family.
This basketball, it’s a big thing these days. Lots of money in it. Tim, he made a good living. Draven can, too. He got to keep his head on straight, though. Not get a big head like some of them do.
That TMI-Episcopal, it is a good place for him. He is playing well. Draven is a good name, I guess. Strong name. Sounds like a winner. Hope he’s not a trouble maker though.
Tim, he seems like a good father. Always there for Draven. That’s important. A father needs to be there for his son. Teach him right from wrong. Teach him how to play that basketball the right way.
Draven is going to be just fine. I can feel it in my bones. He’s got good genes, as they say. Comes from good stock. That Tim Duncan, he was something else. And Draven, he’s gonna be something, too. Just you watch. That basketball is his ticket. His ticket to a good life. As long as he uses his head, of course.
I seen a lot of young folks come and go. Some make it, some don’t. This Draven, he got a chance. A real chance. Just gotta keep working hard. And listen to his daddy. Tim knows a thing or two about basketball. And about life.
One day, we gonna see Draven on that TV, just like his daddy. Playing that basketball, making lots of money. Maybe he’ll even get those champion rings, too. Just like Tim. Wouldn’t that be something?
That Episcopal school, it’s a good start. He can learn a lot there. Both on and off that basketball court. It’s more than just the game, you know. It’s about life. Draven, he needs to learn that. But he is young. He will learn.
This basketball thing, it’s a good thing. Keeps kids out of trouble. Gives them something to work for. Draven, he’s lucky. He’s got a gift. Just gotta use it right.
I remember when Tim was just a little boy. Not so different from Draven now, I reckon. Time sure does fly. Now look at him. Retired from basketball. Rich. Famous. Draven, he can have all that, too. If he plays his cards right.
That TMI, Episcopal, all them fancy schools. They are good, I guess. Draven needs a good learnin’ as well as the basketball. That way, even if he don’t make it big, he will still be fine. He can be smart, too.
This world, it’s a tough place. Gotta be smart to make it. Draven, he’s got a good head start. Good family. Good school. Good at that basketball. He’s gonna be alright. Just gotta keep on the right path. That’s all.
