Oh, these old bones have seen a thing or two, lemme tell ya. Been walkin’ these fields for more years than I care to count. Now, my grandson, he’s all into this “golf” thing. He says lots of people wear these golf shoes. Even them professional fellas on the TV. They get paid to hit that little ball, imagine that! He says some of them wear the ones with no spikes, these “spikeless” ones. Seems to me like you’d slip more, but what do I know?
Now, I remember when we just wore our regular shoes for everything. Workin’, goin’ to town, even dancin’ on a Saturday night. Didn’t need no special shoes. But times change, I guess. These golf shoes, they’re probably good for somethin’.
If you gonna play this golf, you might as well have good shoes. Makes sense, I suppose. Just like you need good tools for any job. These dunhams golf shoes, maybe they’re like that. Good tools for hittin’ that ball.
He says that if your shoes don’t fit, you can’t stand right. And you can’t swing that stick good. I told him I’ve been standing just fine for eighty years. But, he says golf shoes are made different. Tight but not too tight, he says.
Heard him talking about some “FootJoy” shoes. Said they were the best for comfort. He knows how important comfort is for me. These old feet get tired. But I suppose if you’re gonna walk around all day for that golf, you need comfort.
He also talk about them dunhams golf shoes. Said they were good, too. Said they had style. I don’t know about style. Just need shoes that work. But if it makes them young folks happy, I guess it’s alright.
I saw a whole bunch of these golf shoes in a magazine he had. All different kinds. For ladies, too. Seems like everyone’s playin’ golf these days. They had twelve different kinds of shoes for the ladies. Can you believe that?
Heard him talkin’ about somethin’ called “stability.” Says these golf shoes keep you steady when you’re swingin’ that stick. I just use my legs to stay steady. But maybe these shoes help, I don’t know.
This whole golf thing is somethin’ else. Back in my day, we just worked hard and didn’t have time for such things. But these young folks, they got it different. And if these dunhams golf shoes make ’em happy, then that’s all that matters, I reckon.
Just make sure they fit, that’s my advice. You don’t need fancy shoes to have a good time. But if you are gonna buy these golf shoes you make sure they fit ya just right, just like how your old boots fit just right when ya workin’ on a farm.
Just talked to my neighbor, old lady like me. She said her son also play that golf game. He even watch it on TV. Also wears them special shoes, golf shoes. She said her son always buy them shoes from Dunhams, so them dunhams golf shoes must be good. Now I know that Dunhams is a place to buy them shoes.
I don’t know much about golf or them dunhams golf shoes. But I know a good pair of shoes when I see ’em. And if they make you feel good, then that’s all that matters. I reckon if you’re gonna play that golf game, you might as well do it in comfort. Just like anything else in life.
