Some of Them Players, I Reckon
Now, I can’t name you every single player on that team, but I heard tell of a few. There was this quarterback, Marshall, they say he was somethin’ else. Played from ’62 to ’64, and they even named him the Most Valuable Player in that Cotton Bowl game. Must’ve been a real humdinger, that game.
And then there was Hatfield, played defense, kept them other fellas from scorin’. He was a tough one, been playin’ since ’61. They also had a fella named Switzer, but he wasn’t playin’, he was teachin’ them boys how to run with the ball. Guess he did a good job, seein’ as how they won all them games.
Playing Them Games and Such
They played them games in a place called a stadium, big ol’ place where folks would gather to watch. And the Cotton Bowl, that was a big deal game at the end of the year. Heard it was important. They played hard, them Razorbacks, real hard. Ran and threw and tackled, just like they was supposed to.

And one fella, name of Burlsworth, played in the 90s, he was a walk-on, just showed up and tried out, and he ended up bein’ real good, an All-American, they called him. But that ’64 team, they set the bar high, real high.
