Well, let me tell you about this Tony Romo fella and his golf thing. Seems like he’s got a real knack for it, that boy does.
Tony Romo and his golf, huh? Folks keep talkin’ ’bout it, so I figured I’d spill the beans, what little I know. This Tony, he used to throw the ol’ pigskin, you know, football. But now, he’s smackin’ golf balls all over the place. And not just any ol’ place, mind you. He’s got his hands in some fancy golf stuff.
Now, they say he’s got this golf place up in some place called Racine. Range Time Golf, they call it. Sounds fancy, don’t it? He and his daddy, this Ramiro fella, they own it. Tony, he wanted a real nice golf place for folks to play, so he went and built one. Good for him, I guess. Keeps him busy, that’s for sure.
- He ain’t just playin’ for fun neither. He’s in them tournaments, the State Amateur thingy. Showin’ off his swing, I reckon.
- And he’s good! Real good! Folks say he’s a “plus-handicap.” Don’t rightly know what that means, but it sounds important. Even that Tiger Woods fella, the one everybody knows, says Tony’s a heck of a golfer. Now that’s somethin’.
Heard tell he’s building another golf thingy, a big one, 32 somethin’. Maybe it’s like a big ol’ golf course. These rich folks, they got more money than sense sometimes. But hey, if he likes it, that’s his business. He calls games on the TV now too. Talkin’ ’bout football, even though he’s all about golf. Go figure.
People keep askin’ how good he is. Well, from what I hear, he’s real good. Better than most folks, that’s for sure. He plays at this place called The Legend at Merrill Hills. Sounds like a fancy place. Probably got them fancy carts and all. He played in some big tournament there, the Wisconsin State Amateur Golf Championship. Didn’t win, I don’t think, but he did alright.
Seems like Tony, he just loves golf. Ever since he stopped throwin’ that football, he’s been hittin’ them little white balls. And folks, they love watchin’ him do it. He’s got that competitive spirit, you know? Always wants to be the best. Guess that’s why he was so good at football, and now he’s tryin’ to be good at golf.
And if you want to see him, or have him come to your, I don’t know, your shindig or somethin’, you gotta call somebody. Dallas Athlete Speakers, they call ’em. They got his number, I guess. You can get him to talk, sign autographs, shake hands, all that fancy stuff. But it’ll cost ya, I bet. Nothin’s free in this world, especially when you’re dealing with celebrities.
So, what’s the deal with Tony Romo and golf? Well, he’s good at it, real good. He owns a golf place, maybe two soon. He plays in tournaments. People want to see him. He’s a busy fella. And that’s about all I know ‘bout it. It ain’t rocket science, you know. He likes golf, he plays golf, he’s good at golf. End of story.
Folks keep askin’ how he got so good. Well, I reckon he practiced a whole heap. You don’t get good at somethin’ by sittin’ on your behind, that’s for sure. He probably spends hours out there on the golf course, whacking them balls. And he’s got that natural talent, I guess. Some folks are just born with it.
Anyways, that’s the lowdown on Tony Romo and his golf. He’s a golfer now, not a football player. And a pretty darn good one, from what I hear. So, if you see him out there on the golf course, don’t bother him too much. Let him swing his clubs and enjoy himself. He’s earned it, I reckon.
And that’s all there is to it. Tony Romo, the football player turned golfer. Who woulda thunk it? But that’s life for ya, always throwin’ you curveballs, or maybe in this case, golf balls.
