Alright, listen up, y’all. Let’s talk about this here… whatchamacallit… wheel of MLB teams. Yeah, that’s it. Now, I ain’t no fancy pants expert, but I can tell ya a thing or two about them baseball fellas.
So, this wheel thingy, it’s like a big ol’ circle with all them baseball teams stuck on it. You spin it, and bam! You get a team. Simple as that. Kinda like when you spin that thing at the county fair to win a prize, only here you get a baseball team instead of a stuffed animal. Not that I ever won nothin’ at the fair, mind you. Them games are rigged, I tell ya!
Now, what’s the point of this wheel, you ask? Well, it’s for fun, I guess. Kids these days, they got all sorts of gadgets and gizmos. Back in my day, we just went outside and played. But hey, if they wanna spin a wheel to pick a team, let ’em. Ain’t hurtin’ nobody.
Speaking of teams, there’s a whole bunch of ’em. You got yer New York Yankees, them fellas with the fancy pinstripes. Always winning, they are. Then you got yer Boston Red Sox, them fellas from up north. They got a long history, those Red Sox. Heard tell they had a curse for a while, but they got rid of it. Don’t ask me how, I ain’t no witch doctor.

And then there’s them Los Angeles Dodgers, out there in California. They got some good players too. And the San Francisco Giants, another California team. Seems like California got a lot of baseball, huh? Must be the sunshine. Helps them fellas hit them balls further, I reckon.
Don’t forget about the St. Louis Cardinals. They got a bird on their shirt, ain’t that somethin’? And them Chicago Cubs, they finally won a championship a few years back after a long, long time. Folks were goin’ crazy. I even saw it on the TV. They were jumpin’ and hollerin’ like they’d won the lottery.
Now, this here Major League Baseball, they play a whole lotta games. 162 games, I heard tell. That’s a lot of baseball, ain’t it? They start playin’ in the spring, when the flowers start bloomin’, and they keep playin’ all summer long, right through the hot days and the sticky nights. And then they play some more in the fall, when the leaves start changin’ color. They play till October, sometimes even into November if they’re real good.
I remember when I was a young’un, we used to listen to the games on the radio. We didn’t have no fancy TVs back then. We’d sit around the radio and listen to the announcer call the game. He’d paint a picture with his words, you know? You could almost see the players runnin’ around the bases, even though you couldn’t actually see ’em.
Nowadays, you can watch the games on TV, on your phone, even on your fancy computer thingy. Times have changed, ain’t they? But the game is still the same, I reckon. You gotta hit the ball, run the bases, and catch the ball. Simple as that. And you gotta try to win, of course. Everybody wants to win.
So, back to this wheel of MLB teams. It’s just a way to pick a team, like I said. Maybe you wanna pick a team to root for, or maybe you wanna play a game with your friends. Or maybe you just wanna spin the wheel for the heck of it. It don’t matter. It’s all just for fun. And that’s what baseball is all about, ain’t it? Fun and games. And hot dogs, of course. Can’t forget about the hot dogs.
And you know, some of these teams, they been around a long, long time. Like them Cincinnati Red Stockings, they say they were the first ones to pay their players like real professionals way back in 1869. Imagine that! Before that, I guess they just played for the love of the game or maybe a free meal after. Things sure have changed.
This here wheel, it can help you learn about all the different teams too. You might spin it and get a team you ain’t never heard of before. Then you can go and look ‘em up, learn about their players, their history, where they play. It’s like a little adventure, seein’ all the different places and folks involved in baseball.

It can remind you of the old days, teach you something new, or just give you something to do when you’re bored. Just don’t go bettin’ the farm on it, ya hear? It’s all just a game, after all.
