Now, I ain’t no spring chicken, and I don’t know much about this “rap” music. My grandbaby, she’s the one who told me. Said he’s a big deal, this Snoop Doggy Dogg. Big deal, she says. Humph, back in my day, a big deal was gettin’ the crops in before the frost!
But this young’un, she’s all excited. Says she wants to go see him. And lemme tell ya, them tickets ain’t cheap! I heard tell they start at somethin’ like $295! $295! That’s near ’bout a month’s worth of groceries for me! And if you want a real good seat? Forget about it! Could be up to a couple million dollars, they say. Crazy, right? I could buy a whole farm for that kinda money!

Anyways, she says it’s a real “experience” to see him perform live. Says he’s got this whole stage show, all flashy and loud. Probably got them fancy lights and all that jazz. Not my cup of tea, mind you. I’d rather sit on my porch with a glass of sweet tea and listen to the crickets, but these young folks, they like what they like.
So, where do you get these tickets? Well, that girl of mine, she’s been lookin’ all over. Says you can find them on somethin’ called SeatGeek. And there’s this other place, Ticketmaster. Sounds fancy. Back in my day, you just walked up to the ticket booth and bought ’em, but I guess things are different now. Everything’s on that “inner-net” thingamajig.
And they got this guarantee, too. Says if somethin’ goes wrong, you get your money back. That’s good, I guess. Don’t want to be throwin’ away good money on somethin’ that ain’t gonna happen. Money don’t grow on trees, ya know!
Now, I heard tell this Snoop Doggy Dogg, he don’t just sing. He also does this “talkin’ thing.” Like speeches, I guess. And they pay him big bucks for that too! Seems like he’s got his fingers in a lot of pies, this fella. But I reckon that’s how you make it big these days. Gotta be a hustler, they call it.
So, if you’re in Edmonton and you got a hankerin’ to see this Snoop Doggy Dogg, mark your calendars for June 20th. Go on down to Rogers Place and see what all the fuss is about. Me? I’ll probably be home, watchin’ the weather channel and waitin’ for the news. But hey, to each their own, right? Just make sure you got enough money in your pocketbook for them tickets! ConcertFix is another place where my grandbaby looked for tickets, she said they make sure you get the real tickets and everything is taken care of. I still don’t get it, but if it makes her happy, then I’m happy too, I guess. She just better not spend all her college money on this concert!
