Alright, alright, let’s talk about this NBA Finals 2024 logo thing. I ain’t no fancy designer or nothin’, just a regular person, you know? But I can tell you what I see, and what I think about it.
First off, they got the NBA logo, that little man dribbling the ball. Everyone knows that one, even me! Then, they write “Finals” all fancy-like, in black letters. Looks nice, I guess, kinda like somethin’ you’d see on a fancy cake. And behind it all, there’s that trophy, the one them basketball fellas be fightin’ over. Shiny and gold, just like you’d expect.
And don’t forget the year, 2024, all big and gold up on top. Gotta let everyone know when this happened, right? So, you got the man, the words, the trophy, and the year. That’s the whole shebang, the whole kit and caboodle.
Now, some folks are sayin’ they should bring back the old logos, the ones from way back when. You know, somethin’ that reminds you of the good ol’ days. I hear some people like that nostalgia stuff. Makes ’em feel young again, maybe? I don’t know, I’m already young enough, haha! But yeah, they say bringin’ back the old look would make the brand stronger, whatever that means.
They talk about a “stronger brand-identity.” Sounds like somethin’ them city folks would say. I just think it means folks would know it’s the NBA Finals right away, no questions asked. Like when you see a picture of a cow, you know it’s a cow. Simple as that.
I saw some folks talkin’ about a “virtual museum” of sports logos and stuff. Sounds like a whole lotta work to me. But I guess some folks like lookin’ at all them old pictures. Maybe they can learn a thing or two, I don’t know. I’d rather be out in the garden, myself.

- And that shiny trophy, sittin’ right there in the back.
- And last but not least, the year, 2024, up on top.
I also heard you can watch these games on somethin’ called “streaming services.” Sounds fancy, like somethin’ outta the Jetsons cartoon. They say you can watch it on DIRECTV STREAM, or Hulu + Live TV, or fuboTV. Back in my day, we just had the TV, that’s it! No fancy streams or nothin’. But I guess that’s how the young folks do it these days.
So, that’s my take on the 2024 NBA Finals logo. It’s got all the important stuff, the man, the words, the trophy, and the year. Nothin’ too fancy, nothin’ too complicated. Just a good, clear logo, so you know what you’re watchin’. And if they wanna bring back the old logos, well, that’s their business. Me, I’m just here to watch some good basketball. And maybe eat some popcorn, too.
Now, whether it’s the best logo they ever made, I can’t tell you that. I ain’t no expert. I just know what I like, and this logo, it’s alright. It does the job. It tells you what it is, and that’s all that matters to me.
Some folks always gotta complain about somethin’. They complain about the logo, they complain about the players, they complain about the refs. You can’t please everyone, that’s for sure. Me, I just try to enjoy the game, you know? Life’s too short to be fussin’ about every little thing.
Anyway, that’s enough talkin’ about logos. I’m ready to watch some basketball! Let them fellas run up and down that court, and I’ll cheer them on, no matter what logo they got on their shirts.
