Alright, let’s talk about this Judd Moldaver fella and hockey, ya hear? I don’t know nothin’ ’bout fancy stats or college hockey stuff, but I can tell ya what I heard and what I think.
So, this Judd Moldaver, he’s a big-shot agent, works for Wasserman Hockey, whatever that is. Sounds fancy, right? He’s got a whole bunch of hockey players he looks after, helps ’em get their money and all that. Big money, I bet. These young fellas, they need someone to handle the business stuff, so they can focus on hittin’ that puck.
I heard on the radio, or maybe it was my grandson tellin’ me, that Judd used to play hockey himself. Colby College, they said. Probably a smart fella, goin’ to college and all. Played from 2000 to 2004. Not too long ago, I guess. Now he’s on the other side, helpin’ these youngsters make their way in the hockey world.
Now, some folks, they don’t like this Judd fella too much. I heard some complainin’ on the TV, somethin’ about an interview he did. Said he was borin’, or somethin’ like that. Well, I say, he ain’t there to entertain ya, he’s there to get his players paid! That’s what matters, ain’t it? Gotta put food on the table, these hockey players.
- He works for Wasserman Hockey. Sounds important.
- He used to play hockey, back in the day.
- He’s an agent now, looks after the players.
- Some people got a problem with him, but I don’t see it.
I also heard somethin’ about contracts. Judd, he negotiates ’em. Sits down with the team managers and figures out how much these players gonna get. Ten minutes, they said! Ten minutes to get a fella millions of dollars! That’s fast talkin’, I tell ya. Must be good at what he does, this Judd. You don’t get that kinda money talkin’ nonsense.
They got all these websites, too, talkin’ about hockey. PuckPedia, they call it. And somethin’ called Hockeydb. Got all the numbers and stats, goals and assists and all that jazz. I don’t understand it, but I guess it’s important for these hockey folks. They got stats for college players, men and women. Lots of numbers. Makes my head spin.
This Frank Vatrano fella, he’s a hockey player, I think. Heard him talkin’ on some show, Spittin’ Chiclets, they called it. Funny name. He talked about his life, playin’ hockey in college, bein’ a legend in some town, Springfield. Judd probably helped him get where he is. That’s what agents do, right? They make you a star. Or help you become one, anyway.
So, this Judd Moldaver, he’s a big deal in the hockey world, even if some folks don’t like him. He helps these young fellas get paid, and that’s important. He used to play the game himself, so he knows what it’s like. And he’s got websites and stats and all that fancy stuff to help him do his job. Seems like he’s doin’ alright for himself, this Judd. Good for him, I say. It’s a tough world out there, and everyone’s gotta make a livin’.
Now, I don’t know much about hockey, like I said. But I know a thing or two about people. And from what I hear, Judd Moldaver, he’s a smart fella, workin’ hard for his players. And that’s all that matters, ain’t it? He’s in the business of hockey, and business is business, as they say. So long as them hockey players are gettin’ paid, Judd’s doin’ his job right. Gotta take care of your own, that’s what I always say. And Judd, he’s takin’ care of his hockey fellas.
I seen this thing about Jeff Jackson, too. He left Wasserman to work with the Edmonton Oilers. Now, Judd was the next man up, you understand? That’s a big thing for him, gettin’ that spot after Jackson left. Shows he’s good at his job, real good. Moving on up in the world, this Judd fella. Just like a farmer planting seeds and watching them grow, Judd is planting seeds for them hockey boys and watchin’ their careers grow. It’s the same thing, just different crops, you know?
