Well now, let me tell ya somethin’ about these here shoes, the af1 halloween 2023 ones. I ain’t no fancy shoe expert or nothin’, but I seen a thing or two, and these shoes, they somethin’ else.
Folks are callin’ ’em the Halloween shoes, and I guess that makes sense. They got this spooky look to ’em, like somethin’ you’d wear trick-or-treatin’, if you was young enough to do such things. I hear tell they got pumpkins on ’em, or somethin’ like that. Jack somethin’-or-other, they call it. Sounds like a whole lotta fuss over a pumpkin, if you ask me, but what do I know?
Now, I ain’t never spent no hundred and fifty, hundred and sixty dollars on a pair of shoes in my life. That’s a whole lotta money, enough to feed a family for a week, or maybe even two! But these young folks, they seem to like ’em. Spendin’ their hard-earned cash on shoes with pumpkins. Land sakes, the things people do!
They say these shoes is made by some company called Nike. I heard of ’em, seen their stuff in the stores, but never paid ’em no mind. Seems they make all kinds of shoes, for all kinds of folks. Basketball players, runners, and now, Halloween folks. They got all these fancy names for ’em too, Air Force 1, they call these ones. Sounds important, like somethin’ the President would wear, but I doubt he’d be caught dead in shoes with pumpkins on ’em.
- They got different kinds too, low ones, high ones, in between ones. Seems like a lot of choices for just a pair of shoes.
- I reckon they comfortable though, folks wouldn’t be buyin’ ’em if they weren’t. Nothin’ worse than shoes that pinch your toes or make your feet ache. These young ‘uns are always runnin’ around, so they need good shoes, I guess.
- And they come in all sorts of colors too, not just Halloween colors. Red, blue, green, you name it. Rainbow shoes, they might as well be. Back in my day, shoes was brown or black, and that was that. But times change, I reckon.
I seen pictures of these shoes online, thanks to my grandson showin’ me. He’s always on that darn phone of his, lookin’ at this and that. He showed me these shoes, and I gotta say, they are kinda somethin’. Spooky, like I said, but kinda neat too. The pictures, they come from some shoe account, Swift somethin’-or-other. These young folks and their fancy names, I tell ya.
They say these Nike shoes, they been around a long time. Since nineteen eighty somethin’, way back when I was still a young’un myself. And they named ’em after the President’s airplane, can you believe that? Air Force One, they call it. Big ol’ plane, carries the President all over the world. Guess they figured it was a good name for a shoe. Makes it sound important, I suppose.
And these here Halloween shoes, they part of some special collection, they do it every year it seems. Spooky redesigns, they call it. Guess they run out of ideas after a while, gotta keep things fresh, I hear them city folks always sayin. Makes sense I guess, folks always wantin’ somethin’ new.
I tell ya what though, if I had a pair of these shoes, I wouldn’t be wearin’ ’em trick-or-treatin’. I’d be wearin’ ’em to church, or maybe to the grocery store. Show ’em off a little bit, let folks know I got fancy shoes, even if they do have pumpkins on ’em. But that’s just me, dreamin’ about shoes I ain’t gonna buy. Too expensive for this old lady, that’s for sure. But they sure are somethin’ to look at, these af1 halloween 2023 shoes. They got that spooky feel, but they also got that somethin’ special, that makes folks wanna buy ’em, even if they cost a pretty penny. And that, I reckon, is all that matters in the end.
