Alright, listen up y’all, let’s talk about this 2023 Absolute Football thing, whatever it is. My grandson, he’s all excited about it, keeps jabbering ’bout cards and players and whatnot. Says it’s a big deal, this “case” thing.
So, from what I gather, this 2023 Panini Absolute Football is like, a bunch of football cards. They come in these boxes, and a whole bunch of boxes together is a “case.” Sounds like a lot of cardboard to me, but hey, what do I know? Kids these days… always spending money on something.
Now, inside these boxes, you got all sorts of cards. My grandson, he’s always yelling about “rookie cards.” Says they’re special, worth somethin’ maybe. And somethin’ called “autographs.” That’s when the players sign their names on the card, I guess. Seems silly to me, just scribblin’ on a piece of cardboard, but folks seem to like it.
- Rookie Cards: Them’s the young fellas, just startin’ out.
- Autograph Cards: Players signin’ their names, makin’ the card “special.”
- Memorabilia Cards: Got bits of jerseys and stuff on ’em. Like they cut up a perfectly good shirt and glued it on a card.
- Insert Cards: These are the shiny ones, the ones that look all fancy. My grandson says some of ’em are real rare, like findin’ a four-leaf clover.
Then there’s this “hobby box” and “hobby case” talk. Sounds like the hobby box is smaller, got fewer cards. And the hobby case, well, that’s the big one, got a whole heap of boxes inside. My grandson, he’s always dreamin’ ’bout gettin’ one of them big cases. Says he could get some real good cards, maybe even one of them “Kaboom!” cards. Sounds like an explosion in a cardboard box to me.
And these “parallels,” they’re like different versions of the same card, I think. Some shiny, some colored, some numbered. My grandson tries to explain it, but it all sounds like gibberish to me. Too many colors and numbers for this old lady’s brain.
From what I hear, you can buy these football cards online. Places like DACardWorld, my grandson’s always on their website. He says they got good prices, and free shipping if you spend enough. Again, spendin’ money, that’s all these young’uns do.
Now, some folks, they don’t just buy boxes. They do these “group breaks” and “case breaks.” That’s where a bunch of people get together and buy a whole case, then they split up the cards. Sounds like a gamble to me. You might get a good card, you might get nothin’ but the regular ones. My grandson, he’s tried it a few times, sometimes he gets lucky, sometimes he just grumbles.
This Absolute Football thing, it’s got all these different sets. Each team got their own cards, I guess. And then there’s these special inserts, like that “Kaboom!” and “Explosive” my grandson keeps talkin’ about. Says they’re hard to find, real valuable. To me, they’re just more pieces of cardboard, but he seems to think they’re gold or somethin’.
So, a 2023 Panini Absolute Football Hobby Case, that’s a big box with a bunch of smaller boxes inside, and each box got a bunch of cards. And inside them cards, you got rookies, autographs, memorabilia, and all sorts of shiny inserts. And folks spend good money on these things, hopin’ to get a valuable card. It’s a whole world I don’t understand, but hey, if it makes the young’uns happy, I guess it’s alright.
Configuration: You get 7 cards in a pack, 6 packs in a box, and 20 of them boxes in a case. That’s a whole lotta cards, if you ask me. Enough to wallpaper a small room, probably. My grandson would probably like that, though. He’d probably say it’s a good way to display his collection. Kids these days!
Anyway, that’s about all I know about this 2023 Absolute Football Case thing. It’s a bunch of cards, some are special, some ain’t, and folks spend money on ’em.
