Well, howdy there! Let’s gab a bit about these here… whatchamacallit… golf throw pillows. Yep, them fancy cushions you put on your sofa or bed, but with little pictures of golf stuff on ‘em. Never thought I’d see the day when folks started puttin’ golf on everything, but hey, to each their own, I always say.
Now, I ain’t no expert on these things, mind you. I seen some folks at the market sellin’ all sorts of pillows, even had these golf ones. Looked kinda comfy, gotta admit. Some were plain, just a golf ball or a club stitched on, ya know? Others, they were real fancy-like, with all sorts of swirly patterns and what not. Some even had that… that… what’s it called? Em… emb… embroidered? Yeah, that’s it! Embroidered pictures of golf courses, or funny little golf sayings. Like, “Life is full of important choices… like whether to use a driver or a putter.” Heard that one from a fella walkin’ by.
Why folks buy ’em beats me, but I reckon they’re kinda nice to look at, I guess. Especially if you’re one of them golf fanatics. You know, the kind that spends all day whacking little balls around a big field. Probably makes ‘em feel right at home, havin’ golf pictures starin’ at ‘em even when they’re sittin’ on the couch.
I seen all sorts of materials too. Some were soft and fluffy, like that… what’s it called… linen? Yeah, linen. And wool, too! The woolly ones looked real warm, perfect for snuggling up with on a cold night. Others were kinda rough, but I guess they hold up better if you got kids or dogs jumpin’ all over the furniture.
- Soft ones: Made of that linen stuff, real comfy and cozy, perfect for a nap.
- Wooly ones: Keeps you warm, like a good ol’ blanket, good for winter.
- Tough ones: Stands up to wear and tear, good if you got messy grandkids or a playful pup.
And the colors! Lordy, the colors. You got your basic greens and whites, of course, like a golf course. But then you got your reds, blues, yellows, even some with sparkly bits on ‘em. Kinda like them Christmas lights, but on a pillow. Some got pictures of golf balls, plain and simple. Others got golf clubs, flags, even whole golf courses stitched right on ‘em. I seen some with diamonds, too! Not real diamonds, of course, just, you know, shiny little diamond shapes.
Now, if you’re thinkin’ about gettin’ yourself one of these golf throw pillows, here’s what I reckon you should think about. First off, where you gonna put it? If it’s goin’ on your bed, you might want a soft one. If it’s goin’ on the couch where the grandkids sit, maybe get a tough one. And think about the colors, too. Don’t want it clashin’ with everything else in the room, right?
And don’t forget the price! I seen some that were cheap as dirt, and others that cost more than a whole set of golf clubs! You gotta decide how much you’re willin’ to spend. Me? I’d stick with the cheap ones. A pillow’s a pillow, right? Don’t need to spend a fortune on somethin’ you’re just gonna lean on.
Oh, and one more thing. If you’re buyin’ it as a gift for someone, make sure they actually like golf! Nothin’ worse than givin’ someone a gift they don’t want. It’s like givin’ a cat a dog bone, you know? Just plain silly.
Well, that’s about all I know about these here golf throw pillows. Not much, I know, but hopefully, it helps you out some. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on my biscuits. Don’t want ‘em burnin’!
