Alright, let’s talk about this ff14 level cheater thing, or whatever you young folks call it. You know, back in my day, we didn’t have all these fancy “level boosts” and “scenario skips.” If you wanted to get somewhere in a game, you had to work for it, plain and simple. But times change, I guess.
Now, I hear some people are paying money to jump ahead in the game. They call it “skipping” the story or “boosting” their level. Sounds like a whole lot of hogwash to me. Why would you want to skip the story? Isn’t that the whole point of playing the game? I remember when we used to sit around for hours, just to see what happened next. It was exciting! Now, you just pay a few bucks and poof, you’re at the end. Where’s the fun in that?
And this “level boost” thing… It just seems like cheating, doesn’t it? It’s like saying you’re too lazy to actually play the game. You don’t want to put in the time, the effort, to learn your character and get good. You just want to be at the top, without earning it. It reminds me of those fellers who used to try and cut in line at the market. Always in a hurry, but never actually getting anywhere.
- I heard someone say it’s not “pay to win,” but just a way to save time. Well, I say, time is part of the game! If you don’t have the time, then maybe you shouldn’t be playing in the first place. It’s like trying to bake a cake without putting it in the oven. You might have all the ingredients, but you ain’t gonna get a cake.
- And another thing, all this skipping and boosting, it makes me wonder if people even appreciate the game anymore. Do they care about the characters? Do they care about the world? Or are they just rushing to the end so they can say they did it? It’s like reading a book, but skipping all the chapters in the middle. You might know how it ends, but you missed the whole story.
- Then there’s the talk of “cheaters” at the top level. Now, that’s just plain wrong. If you’re gonna play the game, play it fair. Don’t go using any tricks or shortcuts to get ahead of everyone else. It ain’t right, and it ain’t fun for the rest of us who are playing honest.
Some folks say they do it for a secondary job, you know, like a second character in the game. Maybe they already played the story once, and they don’t want to do it again. I guess I can kinda understand that. But still, it feels a little… off. Like you’re missing out on something. Even if you’ve seen it before, it’s always a little different the second time around. You might notice things you missed the first time, or see things in a new light.
Now, I ain’t saying nobody should do these things. It’s their money, and their game. If they want to spend their hard-earned cash to skip ahead, that’s their business. But I just don’t see the point. To me, the fun is in the journey, not the destination. It’s about the friends you make along the way, the challenges you overcome, and the stories you experience. You can’t buy those things, no matter how much money you got. You gotta earn ‘em.
And what about those poor monsters? You know, the ones you’re supposed to be fighting to level up? If everyone is just skipping ahead, then nobody is fighting them anymore. They’re just sitting there, twiddling their thumbs, wondering where all the heroes went. It’s like a chicken farm with no chickens, if you catch my drift.
So, is it worth it, this whole level boosting and scenario skipping thing? Like that fella said, it’s a tricky question. I guess it depends on what you want out of the game. If you just want to get to the end as fast as possible, then maybe it is. But if you want to actually experience the game, to savor every moment, to build something real, then I say, take your time. Don’t rush it. Enjoy the ride. Because in the end, that’s all that really matters.
That’s just my two cents, anyway. You young folks can do what you want. But remember what I told ya, the best things in life, they ain’t always the easiest to get.
