This here’s about the Georgia Super League Basketball. It’s that basketball thing they got over there in Georgia. You know, not the Georgia with the peaches, the other one. They got a whole league, bunch of teams. They play a lot of games, I reckon.
I heard it’s called Superleague. Sounds fancy, don’t it? They got all them teams throwin’ that ball around. They play inside, I think, in a big building. Lots of folks go to watch, I bet. Makes a lot of noise, I imagine. Those young fellas runnin’ up and down, tryin’ to get that ball in the hoop. It’s a sight, I tell ya.
They got this one team, BC Kutaisi, sounds like a mouthful. They’re playin’ against another one, Basketball Club Olimpi. Sounds like Olympics, but it ain’t. Just a team name, I guess. They got a bunch of these teams, all with their own names. Hard to keep track of ’em all, if you ask me.
This Superleague, it’s a big deal over in Georgia. They play this basketball all the time. They even got scores and standin’s and all that stuff. You can find it all on that interweb thing, if you know where to look. Some site called Flashscore, or somethin’ like that, has all the numbers. I don’t mess with that computer stuff much myself.
They got this other thing, too, called the U18 League. That’s for the younger fellas, I reckon. Not quite as big as the Superleague, but still basketball. They got teams like TSU and Telavi. Don’t know much about ’em, but they play hard, I bet. Tryna make a name for themselves, I suppose.
Some folks say this Georgia Superleague ain’t as big as some of them other leagues. They got some fancy ones in Europe, like that EuroLeague. They say that’s the best one over there. Lots of teams from different countries playin’ in that one. They play twice in the season in EuroLeague.
And then you got that one in Spain, the Liga ACB. Used to be just two teams, Real Madrid and Barcelona, but now they got a bunch more. Makes it more excitin’, I guess. But this is about the Georgia basketball. We should talk about that.

They even got somethin’ called rosters. That’s just a list of the players, I think. And stats, that’s all the numbers about how good they are. How many points they score, how many times they miss, all that. I don’t know why they keep track of all that, but they do. It’s a big thing. Everybody’s always lookin’ at the stats.
This basketball thing, it’s a whole world of its own. Lots of folks follow it real close. They know all the players, all the teams, all the scores. They get real excited about it, too. Shoutin’ and hollerin’ when their team wins. Gets ’em all riled up.
It’s like that other league, the NBA, the National Basketball Association. That’s a big one, too. But different from this Georgia one. This Georgian Superliga Basketball. That’s what we talkin’ about.
This here Superleague in Georgia, it’s somethin’ else. They got a lot of folks that follow that basketball. I heard some folks say this is the top league in Georgia. I don’t know about top, but it sure is somethin’. They got all them teams and all them games. Keeps folks entertained, I reckon. They got somethin’ called LiveSport. You can check live scores there. Sounds fancy, right?
This here basketball league, it ain’t just a game over there in Georgia. It’s a big deal. I don’t know why, but it is. Maybe it will be more famous in the future. Maybe not. But this Georgian Basketball Super League is their basketball thing.
