You know, these days, the young folks, they wear all sorts of things. I seen these shirts, they call them crop tops. Now, back in my day, a shirt was a shirt. It covered you up good. But these crop tops, they’re cut short, showin’ the belly and all. And some of them got somethin’ to do with football, too. I reckon it’s some kind of new fashion for football.
I seen these girls wearin’ ’em, lookin’ all fancy and such. They got all kinds of colors and pictures on ’em. Some got the names of them football teams, like the, uh, the Cowboys and the… the Eagles. My grandson, he’s a big fan of the Eagles. He’d probably like one of them crop tops, but he’s a boy. I don’t know if boys wear them things or not.
These crop tops football things, they ain’t for everyone, I reckon. If you got a big belly, you probably don’t wanna be showin’ it off. But if you’re skinny like a beanpole, like some of these young girls, I guess it looks alright. They got ones that are tight, huggin’ your body real good. And they got some that are loose, like a, like a potato sack. It just depends on what you like, I guess.

- Some are plain, no pictures at all.
Now, I heard some schools, they don’t like these crop tops. They say it’s too much skin showin’. I don’t know about all that. Back in my day, we wore what we had, and nobody said nothin’. But times are different now, I suppose. You gotta ask the school what they allow. If they say you gotta wear longer shirts, you better do it. Or you can wear it with a high-waisted pants, I guess, it might be OK.
My granddaughter, she wanted one of them football crop tops. She said all her friends had ’em. I told her to ask her mama, ’cause I ain’t buyin’ no half-shirts. Her mama said it was okay, long as she didn’t wear it to church. So, she got one, a blue one with a big ol’ star on it. She wears it all the time, even when it’s cold out. I told her she’s gonna catch her death of cold, but she don’t listen.
They got all kinds of these crop tops, not just for football. Some of ’em got flowers, some got animals, some got words on ’em. But these football ones, they’re real popular, especially durin’ football season. You see ’em everywhere, at the games, at the stores, even on the TV. It’s like everyone’s wearin’ ’em, it’s a fashion for football.
I saw this one lady, she was wearin’ a crop top football, and she was cheerin’ for her team. She was jumpin’ up and down, wavin’ her arms, and that shirt was ridin’ up somethin’ fierce. I thought for sure she was gonna show the whole world her belly button. But she didn’t seem to care. She was havin’ fun, and that’s all that matters, I guess.

I don’t know where you buy these things. Maybe at them fancy stores in the mall. Or maybe online, on that internet thing. My grandson, he buys everything online. He says it’s easier. I guess it is, if you know how to use them computers. I still like to go to the store and see things with my own two eyes. Touch ’em, feel ’em, try ’em on. That’s the way to do it, I think.
These crop tops football, they’re a mystery to me. But the young folks seem to like ’em, so who am I to judge? If it makes ’em happy, then that’s all that matters. It is the fashion for the football. Just don’t go around showin’ off too much skin, that’s what I always say. And for goodness sake, cover up when it’s cold out, or you’ll catch your death!
I reckon they have those crop tops for anyone who like football. No matter men or women, young or old, skinny or fat. If you like a team, you may want a crop top football to show your love. They have many colors, you can choose the color you like. They have many logos, you can choose your favorite team. Oh, they have many styles. You can choose tight one to show your body shape. Or you can choose a loose one so that you can move freely.
