Well, you know that UCF football, that big thing, gonna have some changes. That portal thing, you see, it’s like a big door. Players come and go, just like chickens in and out of the coop. That portal, they call it the “transfer portal,” is open now. I heard it’s open since December 9th, last year. That Gus, seems he upped and left, right after the last game. So that door swung wide open. Lots of folks sayin’ it.
They got a bunch of old players, seniors they call ’em, leavin’. Like when you get too many old hens, gotta make room for the pullets. This UCF football team, they gotta find new players. Gotta fill up those empty spots, you know? Like patchin’ up an old quilt, gotta find the right pieces.
That portal thing, it’s a busy place. Players comin’, players goin’. Hard to keep track of ’em all. It’s like tryin’ to count all the kernels on a cob of corn. Just too many!
- Some players, they go lookin’ for a better place.
- Maybe they think they’ll get more playin’ time somewhere else.
- Or maybe they just don’t like the coach. Who knows?
- Some, they just want to go home. Homesick, you see.
This UCF football team, they need some good, strong players. Like a good, strong ox to pull the plow. They need players who can run fast, like a rabbit runnin’ from a fox. And they need players who can tackle hard, like a bear huggin’ a tree. Yeah, this “transfer portal” is the big topic around here.
I heard someone say they updated it on December 12th, real early in the morning, like 1:20 AM. Lord, who’s up that early lookin’ at that stuff? Must be important, I reckon. That Gus fella leavin’, that really stirred things up. Like when you drop a rock in a still pond. Ripples everywhere.
So, this UCF football portal is a big deal. They say it’s gonna change the whole team. Like when you get a new rooster in the henhouse. Things are gonna be different. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens. Who knows which players go or stay.
It’s all a big gamble, ain’t it? Like plantin’ seeds and hopin’ for a good harvest. You just never know what you’re gonna get. But you gotta plant the seeds, right? Gotta take a chance. That’s what this UCF football team is doin’. They’re takin’ a chance with this portal thing.
This whole thing, this football portal, reminds me of the time my old man, bless his soul, tried to trade his old mule for a younger one. He went to the market, looked at all the mules, talked to all the traders. It was a whole big to-do. He spent days there, just looking around. Finally, he found a mule he liked, made the trade, and came home. But that new mule, it wasn’t what he expected. It was stubborn and wouldn’t work. He ended up regrettin’ that trade. Sometimes things look good, but then not so good.
So, that’s what I’m thinkin’ about this UCF football portal. It could be good, could be bad. Just gotta wait and see. Like watchin’ the weather, you never know if it’s gonna rain or shine. But you gotta be prepared for both, right?
I hope they find some good players in that portal. Players who are strong and fast and tough. Players who will work hard and make the team better. That’s what everyone wants, right? A good, strong team. A team that can win. Like a good, strong crop, you want it to be the best it can be. UCF football needs good players now. This “transfer portal” is how they find them, I guess.
- They say this portal is open for a while.
- Plenty of time to find new players.
- Hope they pick good ones, not like that stubborn mule my old man got.
- Winning is important, you know. Makes everyone happy.
Well, I reckon that’s all I know about this UCF football portal business. It’s all a bit confusin’ to me, but I try to keep up. It’s important to know what’s goin’ on, even if you don’t understand all the ins and outs. Just like life, ain’t it? Full of surprises and things you don’t expect. You just gotta roll with the punches and hope for the best.
