Yeah, that’s right. He’s done. Finished. No more yakkin’ on the TV ’bout them racin’ cars. Thirteen years, they say. That’s a long time, even for milkin’ a cow! Guess he got tired of it, or maybe they just didn’t want him no more. Who knows? These city types, they do things their own way.
- Heard tell he was talkin’ with them bosses, tryin’ to work somethin’ out.
- But seems like they couldn’t agree on nothin’. So, he’s packin’ his bags, so to speak.
- Folks over at Sky Sports, they said nice things ’bout him. Said he was “incredible” and all that. Well, I reckon they gotta say somethin’ nice, don’t they?
Now, I ain’t never watched much of that racin’ stuff myself. Too much noise and goin’ in circles for my likin’. But this Damon fella, he used to drive them cars too. A champion, they say. Won somethin’ back in ’96. That’s a long time ago, ain’t it? He drove for some teams… Arrows, Jordan… sound like somethin’ you’d find in the barn, not racin’ cars! But I guess that’s how they do things over there.

He ain’t drivin’ no more, though. Been talkin’ on the TV for a long spell. Tellin’ folks what’s what, I suppose. And now he’s done with that too. Maybe he’ll go fishin’. That’s what I’d do. Or maybe tend to some chickens. Good for the soul, chickens are.
Heard tell he won a race in Belgium once. That’s way over yonder, across the water. Musta been somethin’ special. But like I said, I ain’t no expert on this racin’ business. Just a bunch of cars goin’ fast, seems to me. But folks get all worked up about it.
What’s Next for Damon Hill?
So, what’s he gonna do now? That’s the question, ain’t it? Maybe he’ll just sit on the porch and drink lemonade. Maybe he’ll write a book. City folks like writin’ books, don’t they? Or maybe he’ll just disappear. Go off somewhere quiet where nobody bothers him. That wouldn’t be so bad, I reckon.
They say you can find news about him on the internet. And on somethin’ called “Sports Mole” and “Bleacher Report”. Sounds like somethin’ you’d find in the garden! He was a racer and then he was a talker. Now, he ain’t neither one. Just a fella lookin’ for somethin’ new, I guess. We all get to that point, don’t we? Time for a change. Time to move on. And that’s what this Damon Hill is doin’, seems to me. Wish him luck, I do. Hope he finds what he’s lookin’ for.
Anyways, that’s the gist of it, as far as I can tell. City folks and their racin’ cars and their TV shows. Always somethin’ goin’ on. Me? I’m just gonna go tend to my garden. That’s somethin’ I understand.
