Folks keep talkin’ about his shirts. Seems like he used to wear them red Puma ones all the time. Red like a rooster’s comb, they were. And they say people started knowin’ him by them shirts. Like, “Oh, there’s that fella with the red shirt, the one who hits the ball a mile.” Guess that’s good for sellin’ shirts, huh? Makes sense, I reckon. If a fella’s good at somethin’, folks wanna be like him, wear what he wears.
But now, things are changin’. He ain’t wearin’ them Puma shirts so much no more. I heard tell he’s doin’ somethin’ with Reebok now. Reebok, that’s a name I know. They make shoes, don’t they? Well, seems they’re makin’ golf shirts now too, and Bryson’s helpin’ them, or so they say.
Team Shirts, Like a Uniform

But you know what I think? At the end of the day, it’s just a shirt. Whether it’s red, or blue, or got some fancy name on it, it’s still just somethin’ you wear to cover your back. These fellas, they can wear whatever they want, as long as they can hit that little white ball where they want it to go. That’s what really matters, ain’t it? The golfin’, not the clothes. But then again, what do I know? I’m just an old woman who likes a good cup of coffee and a quiet afternoon. These fellas and their fancy shirts, they’re a whole different world, I tell ya. But hey, as long as they’re happy swingin’ them clubs and wearin’ them polos, more power to ‘em.
