Alright, let’s talk about this fella, Daniel Sams, you know, the football player. I ain’t no expert, but I can tell ya what I heard and what I reckon about him.
Who is this Daniel Sams anyhow? Well, from what I gather, he’s a football quarterback. Born on October 1st, 1992. Means he’s still a young whippersnapper, I guess.
He went to some school called Salmen High School down in Louisiana, Slidell, to be exact. Now, I ain’t never been to Louisiana, but I hear tell it’s hot and swampy. Anyways, back in high school, this Daniel, he was a pretty good player. Threw the ball for a good chunk of yards and ran it even further. Seems like he could do it all, throwing and running. A real busybody on the field, that’s for sure.
- High School: Salmen High School, Slidell, Louisiana
- Position: Quarterback
- Skills: Good at throwing and running
After high school, he went off to college. First, he was at Kansas State. Now, Kansas… ain’t that where Dorothy and that scarecrow went? Anyhow, he didn’t play much his first year, sat on the bench they call it. Then he was backup to some big shot player, Collin Klein. Heard tell this Klein fella was real good. Daniel got to play some, though, eight games they say. He ran and threw the ball some more, but seems like he wasn’t the main man just yet.
Then, he up and moved to another school, McNeese State. Said he was transferring. I reckon that’s like changing your mind and going somewhere else. At McNeese State, he played quarterback too. ESPN even has a page about him. They got all sorts of numbers and stats, but I ain’t gonna bother with all that. Too much for my old brain to handle. But they say he played in all 13 games one year, that’s a lot of games if you ask me.
So, what kind of player is he? Well, like I said, he can throw and run. He’s a quarterback, so he’s gotta be smart, gotta know where everyone is and what they’re doin’. He’s a free agent now, they say. Means he ain’t tied down to no team, I guess. He’s out there lookin’ for a job, just like the rest of us at one point or another. He’s about 6 foot 2 and weighs around 207 pounds. Big fella, but not too big. Just right for throwing that there football.
What’s he doin’ now? Well, that’s the million-dollar question, ain’t it? They say he’s a free agent. Maybe he’s practicing, waiting for a team to call him up. Maybe he’s fishin’ or somethin’. I hear tell some of them fellas like to hunt and fish when they ain’t playin’. Who knows? It ain’t like he calls me up to tell me his plans.
Recruiting Nation has a profile on him, talking about what kind of player he was in college. They probably got all sorts of fancy words for it, but I just figure he was good, otherwise they wouldn’t be talkin’ about him.
My two cents? Well, this Daniel Sams seems like a hard-working young fella. He played football in high school, went to college, played some more, and now he’s tryin’ to keep playin’. That’s somethin’ to be proud of, I reckon. It ain’t easy makin’ it in the sports world, lots of competition. You gotta be tough, gotta be dedicated, and gotta have some talent too. Sounds like he’s got all three. I wish him the best of luck, wherever he ends up.
So there you have it, all I know about Daniel Sams. Not a whole lot, maybe, but enough to get a picture of the fella. He plays football, he’s a quarterback, and he’s still trying to make a name for himself. Good for him, I say. Good for him.
