Hey everyone, it’s your boy back again with another one of my little adventures. Today, I’m diving into the world of college football, specifically the Iowa State Cyclones. I’ve been following them for a while, and the 2024 season has been quite a ride.
So, I started my day like any other, scrolling through my phone, and I thought, “Why not check how the Cyclones are doing?” I really wanted to catch up on their scores and see if they managed to pull off any exciting wins recently.
I fired up my browser and started with a simple search for “Iowa State football score 2024.” The first thing that popped up was something about the Pop-Tarts Bowl. Apparently, the No. 19 Cyclones had a showdown with the No. 16 Miami Hurricanes. I got a little hyped reading that they made a comeback to win it! It sounded like an intense game. I dug a bit deeper and found another game where they played against the UCF Knights. The final score was 38-35, with Iowa State overcoming a two-score deficit in the second half. Reading about that comeback gave me goosebumps. They really know how to keep fans on the edge of their seats.

Then, I stumbled upon some history about the team. Did you know the name “Cyclones” goes all the way back to 1895? It was because of a bunch of tornadoes that hit Iowa that year. That same year, the Iowa Agricultural College football team crushed Northwestern University 36-0. That’s where the name stuck. Pretty cool, right?
I also learned that the Cyclones have won two conference championships, in 1911 and 1912, when they were part of the Missouri Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Association. It’s always interesting to see how much history is behind these teams.

All in all, it was a fun little research session. It got me even more pumped for the next game. I love how unpredictable and exciting college football can be, and following the Iowa State Cyclones this season has been a blast. If you’re into college football, definitely give them a look.
