Hey guys, it’s been a while! Today, I wanna talk about something that I’ve been messing around with lately – the WCAC football standings. Yeah, I know, not exactly breaking news, but I had some fun diving into it, so why not share the journey, right?
So, first things first, I started by hitting up the internet, just browsing around to see what this WCAC thing is all about. Turns out, it stands for Washington Catholic Athletic Conference. Who knew, right? I found a few different websites talking about it, even one that kept mentioning cookies, but I just skipped past that part.
Next, I started looking for the actual standings. I found a bunch of different pages mentioning different teams like DeMatha, Good Counsel, and St. John’s. It seemed like these teams were a big deal. I saw that DeMatha was ranked number 2 after beating Good Counsel. Good Counsel was also talked about a lot, and their games seemed important, especially with St. John’s.
Then I dug a little deeper and found some info about the 2023 and 2024 standings. It was a bit confusing to keep track of which year was which, but I managed to get a general idea. The 2023 stuff was all over the place, and it looked like Good Counsel won some kind of championship. There was something about a touchdown by someone named Dilin Jones.
- 2023 Season:
- DeMatha beat Good Counsel
- Good Counsel won the WCAC crown
- Dilin Jones scored an important touchdown
After that, I tried to make sense of the 2024 stuff. There were some rankings, and I saw a mention of teams like Mater Dei, Milton, and North Crowley, but I wasn’t sure how they fit into the WCAC. It seemed like they were from somewhere else.
- 2024 Season:
- National rankings include Mater Dei, Milton, and North Crowley
- Unclear how these teams relate to WCAC
The Messy Part
Now, this is where things got a little messy. I found a couple of places where they had live streams of games, but you had to pay to watch them! Like 10 bucks! I wasn’t about to do that, so I just moved on. It felt like trying to put together a puzzle with missing pieces. Some websites were talking about cookies, others were talking about 2022, and some were just confusing overall. I just wanted to see the standings!
Anyway, after clicking around for what felt like forever, I finally started to get a clearer picture. It looks like Good Counsel and St. John’s are the top dogs in the WCAC, at least for now. They’ve been going back and forth for the number one spot. DeMatha is also up there, and it seems like they have a big rivalry with Good Counsel.
So, that’s pretty much my adventure with the WCAC football standings. It wasn’t exactly straightforward, but it was interesting to learn about these teams and see how competitive they are. I might try to follow along more closely next season, maybe even figure out how to watch those live streams without paying, hah! Who knows, maybe I’ll become a WCAC expert by then.
Alright, that’s all for now. Hope you enjoyed this little recap of my internet escapade. Let me know if any of you guys follow WCAC football, I’d love to hear your thoughts! Catch ya later!
