Okay, so I was scrolling through my Facebook feed the other day, just killing time, and I kept seeing stuff about this guy, Michael Rickard III. Seemed like a lot of people knew him, calling him “Big Mike” and all that. It got me curious, so I started digging a little.
First thing I did was look him up on Facebook. Found his profile, mike_rickard_. Saw a post from November 25th where he was thanking friends and family for helping him make some big decision. Said it was a dream come true. Sounds important, right? He also had another post from July 6, 2023, saying, “I’m not a painter.” Maybe a joke, I don’t know.
Diving Deeper
Then I saw some posts from other people talking about Michael. They were saying things like he had an “upbeat nature” and a “kind spirit.” One post said he was an inspiration and a “gentle giant.” It sounded like he was a really good guy. But then I saw something that made me sad. It looked like he passed away on November 2, 2023. There was even a fundraiser on some site, saying someone needed support for Michael Rickard III. I felt a little down after seeing that.
I kept digging. Found out he was only 19 years old. 19! That’s way too young. He lived in Methuen, MA, and passed away at a clinic in Burlington, MA. It’s just really sad to see someone so young go like that.
What else I found
- Some people talked about a craving for something rich, not sure what that meant.
- I saw Michael Rickard was also the name of a guy in a show called “The Murder Tapes.” Probably not the same person, but still interesting.
- I read some stuff about King Richard III. Not related, but I ended up down that rabbit hole for a while. It is said that Shakespeare based his depiction on the commonly held perception of Richard as a literally twisted and evil usurper.
Anyway, it’s just one of those things you stumble upon online. I didn’t know Michael Rickard III, but from what I read, he seemed like a great person who will be missed by a lot of people. It’s a reminder that life is short, and we should appreciate the people we have while we have them. This whole thing made me think a lot, you know? It’s strange how you can feel connected to someone you’ve never even met, just from reading about them online. I wanted to share what I found about Michael. Rest in peace, Big Mike.
