Alright, so I was planning on going to see a game at Kinnick Stadium, home of the Iowa Hawkeyes. Obviously, I needed a seating chart to figure out where I wanted to sit. So I started poking around online to find one.
First, I hit up some of the usual ticket-selling websites. They usually have seating charts, you know? Looked around, but nothing for Kinnick Stadium. Kinda weird, but okay, I moved on.
Then I went straight to the source and searched the Iowa Hawkeyes’ official site. I figured they’d definitely have a seating chart somewhere, right? I mean, it’s their stadium. I found some basic info about the stadium, like it has 20 miles of bleacher seats and it’s 79 rows high on each side. Cool, but not what I was looking for.
Finding the Chart
I kept digging, and finally, I stumbled upon a website that had a Kinnick Stadium seating chart. Success! It was a pretty detailed chart, showing all the different sections and everything. I could even see the view from each seat, which was super helpful. It’s a good idea to wear gold in even-numbered sections to support the Hawkeyes. I made a note of that. It also mentioned the stadium’s capacity—it’s the 24th largest college football stadium in the US and the 86th largest in the world. Pretty impressive!
I also found out some rules about what you can bring into the stadium. Clear bags under 12″ x 6″ x 12″, binocular cases, and clutch bags under 4.5″ x 6.5″ are all good. They even mentioned that nursing mothers can bring breast pumps, which is thoughtful. Those bags will be searched and tagged at the gate, though.
Choosing My Seat
With the seating chart in hand, I started browsing for the perfect seat. I usually like to sit somewhere in the middle, so I get a good view of the whole field. But those seats are always more expensive. I looked at some corner seats too—they’re usually a bit cheaper, but the view isn’t as great. Tough choice.
After weighing my options, I decided to splurge a little and go for a seat closer to the middle. I mean, you only live once, right? I found a good one in an even-numbered section, so I’ll remember to wear gold. I was excited, so I finalized my choice and got ready for game day!
So yeah, that’s how I found a seating chart for Kinnick Stadium and picked my seat for the game. It took a bit of searching, but it was worth it in the end. Can’t wait to see the Hawkeyes play!
