Okay, so I’ve been a huge Taylor Swift fan for years. When I heard she was finally coming to Vancouver for the Eras Tour, I nearly lost it. This was it – the grand finale of her tour, Dec 6, 7, and 8, right here in my city! I just had to be there.
First things first, I signed up for updates on Taylor’s website like a hawk. I also signed up on her record label’s site to cover all the bases. I’ve bought tickets to some shows in the past through Live Nation, so I was hoping they might hook me up with a presale code, fingers crossed!
The day the presale codes dropped, my email blew up. Luckily, I scored one! I jumped on the ticket site right away, heart pounding like crazy. The virtual waiting room was a nightmare, but I kept my cool, refreshing like a maniac until it was my turn.
Once I got in, I had to figure out the seating chart for BC Place. I mean, where you sit can make or break a concert, right? I started looking at the stage layout – it’s this massive diamond shape that stretches across the floor. I saw that there are floor sections, lower bowl, and upper bowl sections. I was trying to figure out the best view with my budget.
- Floor Seats: Obviously, these are the closest to the action. You’re right there with Taylor. But, man, were they pricey! Plus, it’s all general admission, so you gotta get there early to snag a good spot.
- Lower Bowl: These seats wrap around the floor, so you still get a pretty decent view. I figured these would be a good compromise between being close and not breaking the bank. Plus, they’re assigned seating, which is way less stressful.
- Upper Bowl: These are the furthest from the stage, but they’re also the most affordable. You’re pretty high up, but BC Place is designed so you still get a good view of the stage.
Here’s a breakdown of what I learned about the seating:
After a lot of back and forth, comparing prices, and imagining myself at the concert, I finally decided. I grabbed a couple of tickets in the lower bowl, a little off to the side, but still with a clear view of the main stage and the catwalk.
Man, it was a process, but so worth it. I can’t wait to see Taylor in December! It’s going to be an epic night, and I’m so glad I went through all this to make sure I got the best seats possible for me.
