Now, I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout the Belleville WI football schedule. Said it was a tough one this year. Lots of big games. But that’s alright. Them boys, they can handle it. They’re strong and they’re fast, and they listen to their coach. That’s what matters. You listen to your coach, and you do what he says.
My boy, he used to tell me ’bout them games. Said it was hard work, but it was fun too. They’d all get together, all them boys, and they’d practice and practice. And then, when the game day came, they’d be ready. Just like them Belleville boys. They’re ready, I can tell ya that much. They practice hard, I bet.
And them rankings, I don’t know much about them. But I hear the Wildcats, they’re ranked pretty good. Means they’re one of the best teams around. That’s somethin’ to be proud of, ain’t it? Yep, somethin’ to be real proud of. I’m proud of ’em, and I don’t even know ’em all that well! But I know they work hard, and that’s enough for me. They are from Belleville, after all.

You wanna know about Belleville football news? Well, you just gotta keep your ears open. Folks talk. They talk at the diner, they talk at the grocery store, they talk at church. You just gotta listen. They’ll be talking about the games, who’s playing good, who’s not playing so good. The usual.
I heard they even talk about them on that radio sometimes. On the 105.9FM, I think it is. Said you can listen to the games live. Imagine that! Back in my day, we didn’t have nothin’ like that. We just went to the games, rain or shine. And we yelled, and we cheered, and we had a good time. The simple life.

Yep, Belleville High School football, it’s a big deal around here. Gets everyone together. Gives us somethin’ to talk about, somethin’ to cheer for. We all need that, don’t we? Somethin’ to get excited about. A little school spirit, you know.
And them boys, they learn a lot playin’ football. They learn about teamwork, and they learn about discipline. They learn how to win, and they learn how to lose. And that’s important, ain’t it? Learning how to lose. Cause you ain’t gonna win ’em all. Nobody does. But you gotta keep tryin’, keep playin’ hard. That’s what them Belleville boys do. They keep tryin’. I know they do, those Wildcats.
So, if you’re ever in Belleville, you go see them Wildcats play. You’ll be seein’ somethin’ special, I tell ya. You’ll be seein’ a bunch of boys playin’ their hearts out. And that’s what it’s all about, ain’t it? Playin’ your heart out. And having some fun. And maybe winning a few games along the way. And the whole town, they come out to watch them play. That’s really somethin’, huh?
I remember when my own boy played. He wasn’t a Wildcat, played for a different team. But it was the same thing. Whole town would come out. We’d all sit there in the bleachers, bundled up if it was cold. And we’d cheer and holler. Good times, good times. Them Belleville boys, they’re making good times for folks now. Just like my boy did, back in the day.
They got them good rosters, too, full of names, those Wildcats. All them boys playin’ their positions. I don’t know all them positions, though. But, I know they got a quarterback, and he’s the one who throws the ball. And they got them other ones, the ones who run fast and catch the ball. And the big ones, who try to stop the other team. It’s all a big dance, ain’t it? This football.
